We love our NLBA Coaches! Thank you so much for volunteering!
VERY IMPORTANT: When you sign up to coach make sure your child is already registered in the system for the 2018/19 season. Some divisions are full and have waitlists. We cannot guarantee your child a spot after the division fills up. If your child is on a waitlist please do not sign up on this list but contact nlbaheadcoach@gmail.com to let us know that you would like to coach if your child ends up being registered.
INCENTIVES: We would love to know your intention to coach ASAP as it helps us plan and not panic. We are grateful for your contribution to the league and are offering a $100 incentive/refund on your child's registration for U9, U11, U13, U15, & U18 coaches signed up before August 31 (but the sooner you sign up the better, and again, don't wait to register your child as there may not be space for them). The incentive/refund does NOT apply to assistants. U7 and Girls' Academy Coaches will receive a $50 incentive/refund.
VOLUNTEER DEPOSIT FEE: All coaches and assistants are exempt from the $100 volunteer deposit fee. In other words, you will not have to provide a volunteer deposit cheque on Assessment Night.
COACHES, CO-COACHES, and ASSISTANTS: This signup sheet looks slightly different than last year. All the coaches in each division are grouped together on this signup and all the assistants in each division are grouped together. If you plan to co-coach with someone due to shift work etc., please have one person sign up as coach and one person sign up as assistant and let your Division Coordinator know that you would like to be placed on the same team. The coach will receive the refund/incentive and you may split it as you wish. Similarly, if a coach and assistant would like to work together please sign up and let your Division Coordinator know that you would like to be on the same team. (Only one assistant per team.) Division Coordinator contact info for 2018/19 is posted on the NLBA website as of June 1.
