Jaycees Underprivileged Mentor Program
Many city service jobs pay well and have great benefits while also providing a service to the community. Our speaker will talk about some of the jobs at the city level such as waste removal, landscaping, public parks, etc. This being our first contact with the students we would like to get to know the students and let them get to know us.
This is a 12 week program funded and overseen by the Buckeye Jaycee Foundation in which we work with underprivileged 4th and 5th graders every Wednesday after school. The goal of this program is to help shape a better future for these students through our teaching and examples of positive attitude, perseverance, and community service.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE A BCI/FBI BACKGROUND CHECK PREFORMED. You can as for a copy of this from your current employer HR department or request the foundation pay for one. Due to the cost you must agree to volunteer for at least 5 weeks for the foundation to pay for this.
