Gillette Flats Spring Augmentation Survey signup sheet

We need teams of two to sign up for 4 hour shifts to have surveys completed. When we have a good idea of who is using the spring and how the water is being used (based on the surveys), we can send an augmentation plan to the Water Commission for their approval. Next, we will need to raise the money to buy up unused water rights. Finally, the Gillette Flats Spring will be legal and free for all!

We are asking for teams of two for both safety and verification reasons. Dates and times for surveying are posted below. If you need to modify your time or date for gathering surveys, that is fine... Just make sure the actual date and time of the survey is on the form. Survey form will be posted in PDF form so anyone can print off a handful and take them to the spring to collect data. We need a random selection of days and times.

Please be very kind, mild, and helpful as you interact with the users of Gillette Flats spring. They may feel uncomfortable talking to you. Do your best to put them at ease. Give them the handout explaining what we are doing to keep the GFS running and free for them to use.

The data will be compiled and put into a report. This report will be sent to the Water Commissioners, the Teller County Commissioners, the news media and used to assist us as we attempt to raise funds to purchase water augmentation rights.

Make sure all the forms are returned to me. You can return them via US mail, or drop them off to me in Florissant, or I will come by your home to collect them. This data is very important, even if you only collected information from 2 or 3 people. If for some reason you only have a couple forms, take a photo of them and email or text the photos to me, if you like and if that would be easier for you.

The dates, times, and amount of water taken are all very important. Look carefully at the data and ask the user to fill in anything they skip (other than their contact information and address).

I want your contact info about incase I have any questions about your data, or cannot read something, etc.
