Join us October 15 at the Texas Buckeye Trail Family Event from 10 am until 1pm. Master Naturalists will lead hikes, talk about nature trunks and help with an easy craft for youngsters. We need trail guides folks to discuss nature trunks and some people who enjoy making simple crafts with kids.
The 2022 class project Buckeye Trail Restoration was a roaring SUCCESS! We not only received the 2022 Dallas Parks and Trails Award from Dallas Parks and Rec for our work on the trail, but nature classes for kids were requested! After two months classes in the Bonton/Ideal neighborhood next to the Buckeye Trail, the students wanted to hike the trail again! Who can turn down kids who want to get out in nature?
