Grounds Set-up signup sheet
We love when volunteers step up! Final placements will be based on fit and need so everyone—guests and volunteers alike—has the best experience.
Set-up tasks vary day-by-day and may include:
- Installing snow fencing and grounds signage;
- Placing bleachers, picnic tables, and garbage cans across the grounds;
- Clearing outbuildings (Ag. Barn, Canada 125, Fun Zone);
- Installing vendor spaces in Donnybrook Hall;
- Setting up tables and chairs;
- Setting up display furniture;
- Moving/setting up wooden risers; and
- Moving program supplies as needed.
Please check in with John Lindeboom and/or Kester Lake when you arrive for your shift to confirm tasks for the day.
Physical demands
👣 Lots of walking/standing; bending and occasional lifting/moving (light–moderate)
What to wear/bring
👟 Comfortable, closed-toe shoes/boots; weather-appropriate layers/rain gear
🧤 Work gloves (recommended) and a refillable water bottle
Best fit
🔧 Volunteers who like hands-on work and staying active.
