Join four local groups in the fight to keep plastic bags our of our environment- especially the Hudson River. Riverkeeper, Down to Earth Markets, Green Ossining, and Ecobags.com have teamed up for the Bring Your Own Bag Campaign at the Ossining Farmers Market. Our goal is to educate the public about the harms of plastic bags and encourage them to use reusable bags in a diplomatic fashion.

We need leaders to help talk to customers, hand out flyers and point them to the market manager's tent where they are eligible for a raffle and possibly a free reusable bag. It is important to be diplomatic and understand that customers are coming from different cultural backgrounds- and we need to be very sensitive to this. Bi-lingual volunteers preferred- many spanish speakers come to the Ossining Market.
