Jaycees Underprivileged Mentor Program
Firefighter can speak about the importance of the fire dept., fire safety, and what it takes to be a fireman. Students will interact with the Firefighters App that includes activities such as Find the fire hazard, Memory match, Coloring, Word Search, and Fireman Dress up.
This is a 12 week program funded and overseen by the Buckeye Jaycee Foundation in which we work with underprivileged 4th and 5th graders every Wednesday after school. The goal of this program is to help shape a better future for these students through our teaching and examples of positive attitude, perseverance, and community service.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK PREFORMED. You can as for a copy of this from your current employer HR department or request the foundation pay for one. Due to the cost you must agree to volunteer for at least 5 weeks for the foundation to pay for this.
