This is a Big Apple Big Ten / MSU Global Day of Service* event.
GiGi’s Playhouse NYC is a grass-roots Not-for-Profit that opened in 2012. They provide a place to celebrate a Down syndrome diagnosis and gain the social and academic skills individuals with Down syndrome need in order to reach their potential and make a contribution to this great city. GiGi’s NYC is part of a nationwide network of 36 playhouses that provide educational, therapeutic and recreational programs to individuals with Down syndrome at no cost to families and is the only organization in NYC that serves the Down syndrome community. Their core group of volunteers includes alumni from MSU, U of M, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Maryland.
The ”I have a Voice” Gala is the Playhouse’s largest annual fundraiser and requires many hands to execute. On April 21st, BABT Alumni will come together to assist Gala preparations. Tasks will include paper crafting, décor creation, auction inventory & wrapping and others as needed.
GiGi's Playhouse is located at 106 W. 117th St New York, NY
