Volunteers are needed to assist at the LAULYP TV and Entertainment Summit! Below are the list of opportunities and tasks. If you do sign up to volunteer, you will get into the Summit for FREE. Please email volunteer@laulyp.com or csc@laulyp.com for any questions about the volunteer opportunities!
Assistant
Works directly with key committee members before and during event to assist in panelist management, organization, and correspondence.
Coordinators
Coordinators will manage conference rooms to ensure that panels are timely, rooms are in order and to coordinate with committee members for any issues that arise.
Escorts
Escorts must be patient, humble and good humored. Volunteers will wait at presenter’s
tables until panelists arrive. You will then escort the panelist to the green room then
coordinate. Help escort panelists to and from the workshops and panels at the committee
members lead. Feel free to sit in on panel discussion. Regarding conversations with
panelists, please follow their lead, however, under NO circumstances should you ask
them for autographs, pictures, to look at your headshot, resume, or make any other
unsolicited request.
Green room attendant
Keep track of panelists and keep Committee members posted regarding panelist arrivals
and confirm that all panelists have arrived within 15 minutes of panel time. Notify
Committee members when all panelists are present and ready for the panel.
Social Media Assistants
Volunteers will assist in managing profiles and pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram,
etc.) Assist in writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc. and replying to
comments, messages, etc.
Runners
Volunteers will be available to all areas in case an emergency need arises. Volunteer
needs to be flexible, quick thinker, able to run, lift heavy objects, and be ready to do
ANYTHING!
Panel room logistics assistants
Volunteers are in charge of room logistics making sure panelist name placards are placed,
correct number of chairs and tables are ready and available, refill water, keep room tidy
and check badges at the door to ensure all participants are paid attendees. Please be
prepared to run errands or help assist the elderly, physically disabled or blind.
Security
Volunteers will work with “official” security team for crowd control, panelist relocation,
and any other duties assigned by committee members.

The TV & Entertainment Summit’s focus is to mentor entertainment professionals through a series of workshops, panel discussions and TV screenings. In doing so, the TV & Entertainment Summit has partnered with executives from studios like ABC, NBC, FOX, and BET in addition to, producers, actors and storytellers to provide a cinematic experience.
The TV & Entertainment Summit presents opportunities for education and training to up and coming artists (writers, directors, producers, actors) and budding executives. Participants walk away motivated and excited after this four day immersion of information and networking.
