Usher Ministry Sign-up (Hand Out Bulletins/Collect Offering)

Calling all men and women into the Usher Ministry!
Duties Include:
1. Be at the church by 10:10 am ready to start handing out the bulletins when the congregation enters the sanctuary. Make sure to greet the guests, say Hi, Hello, Good Morning, Welcome to Hope, Give a Hand Shake, and have a smile on your face! Your children/grandchildren can help you too!
2. Assist the elderly and/or disabled when needed.
3. If something other than a song is displayed on the projection screen – turn off the lights.
4. Once you feel everyone has entered the sanctuary count all of the people and record it on the spreadsheet in the sound room.
5. Upon entering the sanctuary, ask 3 adults (men or women) from the congregation to help you collect the offering . Collection bins are right by the door. When the offering has been collected gather the money in one bin and set through the sound room window and then your job is done and you may go sit down and enjoy the rest of the service!
6. If you are not able to fulfill the day at which has been chosen/assigned please either ask someone else or tell the head usher so he can find someone else on your behalf.
7. Optional: 1) Bring in some treats and set by the coffee machine by the east entrance. 2) Ask 2 family members/friends (children/youth would be great at this job!) to be a “greeter” at each outside entrance. Help open the door and welcome our guests to Hope!
