When: January 25 and 26

Where: Riverbend Golf Course, Red Deer

What: Working the Start and Finish line puts you in the middle of the action and is very exciting! The work here is also very important - we want to give the racers a positive experience, fair starts and prompt and accurate timing results. The positions are outside jobs that run from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm and require warm boots, warm clothes, snacks and a thermos of hot chocolate.

There are two categories of volunteers needed:

1) START/FINISH - TIMING positions include: Starter, Assistant Starter, False Start Controller, Finish line referee, Bib Callers, Bib Recorders, Manual Timers

Training and trial run-through will happen Saturday morning before the races start.

If at all possible, in order to minimize the total number of persons required, it would be very helpful if you would volunteer to work the races on both Saturday and Sunday.

2) START/FINISH - SUPPORT positions include: Start Area Marshal, Clothing Steward, Bib Remover, Results/Timing Support Assistant.
