We love when volunteers step up! Final placements will be based on fit and need so everyone—guests and volunteers alike—has the best experience.
Please meet at Fairgrounds at 9:00AM to confirm teams and locations before heading out.
📦🚗 Cereal Drive — Thursday Pre-Fair Setup
One-day shift on the Thursday before the fair. You’ll collect cereal boxes from local schools, transport them to the fairgrounds, and help set up the display. Personal vehicle required.
What you’ll do
🏫 Pick up and/or unload cereal donations from assigned school(s)
🚗 Safely transport boxes to the fairgrounds
📥 Unload, unpack, and build the cereal display (tidy the area as you go)
Requirements
🚘 Access to a vehicle for transportation
💪 Comfortable lifting cereal boxes (repeat lifts ~5 lb each)
Physical demands
👣 Standing and walking for extended periods
📦 Repetitive light lifting (up to ~5 lb), bending, and carrying
What to wear/bring
👟 Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes
🧤 Optional work gloves for lifting/unpacking
Special note
📅 Thursday only—pre-fair setup shift. Check in at Donnybrook Hall on arrival.
