Thank you for volunteering for our 17th Annual Oaks Christian School Father Daughter Dance! This year's dance is Saturday, May 15th from 4:30-6:30 for Middle School Students and 7:00pm - 9:30 pm for High School Students in the High School Quad and formal portraits in the Dallas Gym. Volunteers are needed to plan this event and to make it all happen!
If you are not familiar with this event, here's a little history... This dance was created as a ministry in 2004 and has become a treasured event every year since. It is designed to "strengthen the blessings of the Father-Daughter relationship by creating a special, God-glorifying occasion for fathers and daughters to show their love for one another by spending time together." - Founder, Cathy Nordlund, 2004. As volunteers, our goal is to create a beautiful environment where fathers and daughters can have fun on the dance floor and deepen their Father-Daughter bond in the Conversation Cafe.
This year's theme is STARRY NIGHT! The evening may look a bit different from years past but we will have activities include dancing, desserts, scrapbooking, formal portraits, photo-booth fun, and the senior class presentation ceremony. All OCS girls, 5th-12th grade and their fathers and/or father figures, are invited to attend this wonderful father-daughter event.
Volunteer Needs: The parent leadership team needs lots of volunteers to make this event a success for our families. With two different events happening this year, we will need as many volunteers as possible! Masks must be worn and gloves will be provided to each volunteer, serving or assisting with desserts.
