Jaycees Underprivileged Mentor Program
Speaker can talk about the different positions within a restaurant. Would like to highlight how with perseverance and pride in your work you can go from dishwasher to Manager or even Owner. Students will develop a meal on a budget leveraging the Kroger Click-list app. As an activity Would like to teach Asian Ramen Salad recipe.
This is a 12 week program funded and overseen by the Buckeye Jaycee Foundation in which we work with underprivileged 4th and 5th graders every Wednesday after school. The goal of this program is to help shape a better future for these students through our teaching and examples of positive attitude, perseverance, and community service.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND CHECK PREFORMED. You can as for a copy of this from your current employer HR department or request the foundation pay for one. Due to the cost you must agree to volunteer for at least 5 weeks for the foundation to pay for this.
