Orienteering skill is not required for all of the tasks. We'll need all sorts of help to make this a great day, jobs are simple you can even sign up for 2. New families and older Juniors can sometimes be the best advocates for Orienteering!
Jobs:
Event Planner - organizes all aspects of the day
Station Organizer - plans what stations will be used, gets together all supplies and delivers them to Station set up people
Station Set up - brings equipment to site, sets up both stations
Under Tent Promotions - promoting the sport of orienteering to new parents.You would stay under the tent and give out information.
Group Leaders:organize the large group into 2 groups,short warm up jog, take your group to 2 stations (where station coach runs activity)
Station Leaders: run one station to two different groups per hour. Need to wait in-between groups (might like to bring something to do for 10-15 minutes at a time while you wait for next group.
Location: SE of the big dome, under the FWOC pop up tent. I believe we start running at 10 AM, and end at 2 PM.
Parking: There is a large parking lot, but last year we were there at the same time as a huge group of swimmers, so, just in case we're double booked, give yourself extra time.
Volunteers will receive T-shirts (a lovely blue color, I'm told), and we'll provide lunch and drinks of fine quality.
