Help our elders and community members connect by spending time teaching basic computer skills!
This is a civic engagement project devoted to helping elders and adults with special needs learn basic computer skills. Pacific Students will partner with community members to help them out learning whatever they would like to learn, be it downloading pictures, using Facebook, checking their email etc. During this time, students will get to know community members by spending quality time. Seniors often suffer from isolation and by signing up, you are doing a great service to our community. Thank you!
For anyone wanting to walk together each service trip, we will be meeting on the U.C. Patio 10 minutes before each event (11:50 am). If you plan to walk with us, please show up on time (at or before 11:50). For those of you meeting at the Senior Center, here is the address: 2037 Douglas St, Forest Grove, OR 97116 and you can check out their website here: fgscc.org
Because their computer lab is small, we can only have a few students come at once. If you have your own laptop, please feel free to come (even if there are no slots left). There are limited slots because there are limited computers. Thanks so much for signing up! For more information, please email holl0158@pacificu.edu or jone9105@pacificu.edu.
