Nov. 18, 2nd Work party at Eastmoreland Golf Course signup sheet

WHAT: Join Crystal Springs Partnership for a second three-hour work party in removing weeds and prepping a stretch of the creek bank for a large planting that will occur after the rains have returned (probably November). We will meet at the Eastmoreland Golf Course clubhouse at 9:am, in the back of he parking lot by the chain link gate (the golf course manager will let us through). We will walk about 300 yards up the service road along the RR tracks to the worksite which is behind the driving range. We will remove invasives such as reed canary grass, English ivy, Himalayan blackberry etc. and generally do what we can to make the place ready for several dozen trees and a few hundred shrubs in November. As usual for these things, dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, etc. We will provide gloves and tools but feel free to bring your own favorite mattock or whatever. Coffee, tea, and snacks provided. Children welcome with a responsible adult (we’re working on a streambank).

WHEN: Sunday, November 18, 9 a.m. to noon.

WHERE: 2425 SE Bybee Blvd; MAP
