Tuesday, August 7 – National Night Out, 5-8 p.m.
Triangle Park • Willits
National Night Out is an evening for our community to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. Hosted by the Basalt Police Department and the Basalt & Rural Fire Protection District, the event showcases the vital importance of community partnerships and citizen involvement in our fight for a safer Basalt. Following the Lake Christine Fire, this year’s annual event has taken on new purpose and meaning. In addition to engaging with our local first responders, the night will include the opportunity to thank all of the local supporting agencies and first responders from our neighboring communities who were critical during those first 36 hours.
Saturday, August 11 – Basalt Community Picnic, 4-7 p.m.
Basalt River Park • Downtown Basalt
In the midst of incredible challenges in our own backyard, our diverse community came together, focused on the commonalities that we share and the deep-rooted need to help our neighbors. Join us as we celebrate the small town we love, eating a picnic dinner as one community in Downtown Basalt while sitting near of the Roaring Fork River. Share a meal with your neighbors, spend time visiting with friends, and enjoy live music. Celebrate all that is Basalt, and the place we are proud to call home.
