Friends of Trees Spring '17 signup sheet
We will be volunteering with the organization, "Friends of Trees," a non-profit that plants trees in various locations in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Their mission is, "to inspire community stewardship of our urban forest by bringing people together to plant and care for urban trees and natural areas."
The work will most likely involve digging with shovels and planting saplings/bushes. There will be snacks and coffee provided.
A Center for Civic Engagement staff member will be driving a Pacific University van. If you would like a ride, please sign up.
If you would like to go, but plan on driving your own vehicle, please do not sign up here. Instead, email Elsa and you will be signed up and given directions: holl0148@pacificu.edu
All of their tree plantings are on Saturdays from 9:00am - 1:00pm, but we will need to meet earlier to account for travel time.
