The Monterey Bay Birding Festival is an annual event that takes place in the gorgeous Monterey Bay area of central California. This year’s festival takes place Friday, September 28th, through Sunday, September 30th, 2018, and promises to be one of the best ever, with exciting field trips, workshops, and speakers, including many new offerings. Strategically hosted during fall migration, the festival affords participants with the opportunity of seeing some of the over 200 bird species in the region on unique land and pelagic tours, as well as whales, dolphins, and otters in the Monterey Bay. Find out more about the festival at montereybaybirding.org.
Volunteers are essential to making the festival a success! All ages and skill sets are welcome. Event setup and breakdown should be able to lift.
All volunteers will be stationed at Festival Headquarters in Civic Plaza at 275 Main Street, Watsonville, CA.
All volunteers will receive free snacks and a tshirt, and volunteers who serve 3+ hours will have the opportunity to attend festival events for free (as space allows).
Registration volunteers and select others will be asked to attend a volunteer training the week before the event, date and time TBD.
Volunteer details will be sent by email a week before the event. Please contact Maura at montereybirdingevents@gmail.org with questions that can't wait!
Thank you for volunteering!
