The Mercy Foundation presents the 2018 Taste of Merced fundraising event, scheduled for Friday, September 28, 2018, from 6 pm - 9 pm at Bob Hart Square in downtown Merced. We expect to have 500+ guests in attendance who will enjoy the evening tasting bites from local restaurants and listening to live music by California Creedence.

To make the event a success, the Foundation needs your help! We are asking for volunteers in the areas below to help us make the event look great and run smoothly. The description of duties for each area are as follows:

Flower Arrangement Makers: assist in making the floral arrangements for the event.

Event Set-up/Decor Crew- duties include general event set up, placing tablecloths on tables, setting out floral arrangements, hanging event signage, helping with bar set up, assisting restaurant vendors with booth set up, etc. Volunteers receive a complimentary tasting wristband to enjoy the event at the conclusion of their duties.

Go-fors- duties will include assisting with transporting supplies from the Foundation Office to the Bob Hart Square, being on call to run last minute errands, picking up food for band, etc. Volunteers receive a complimentary tasting wristband to enjoy the event at the conclusion of their duties.

Registration Attendees (First Shift)- duties will include taking tickets at the door, checking ID's and giving guests appropriate tasting wristbands, assisting guests with Fast Passes navigate through the line faster, hand out event programs, etc. Volunteers for this duty will receive a complimentary tasting wristband at the conclusion of their shift.

Registration Attendees (Second Shift)- duties will include taking tickets at the door, checking ID's and giving guests appropriate tasting wristbands, assisting guests with Fast Passes navigate through the line faster, hand out event programs, etc. Volunteers for this duty will receive a complimentary tasting wristband to enjoy the event before their shift. Check in at registration, mention you are volunteering.

Drink Ticket Booth Attendees (First Shift)- We respectfully ask for Mercy Medical Center only employees or Volunteers to fill these positions. Duties include selling drink tickets to guests, handling cash, making change, etc. Volunteers will receive complimentary tasting wristband upon conclusion of their shift.

Drink Ticket Booth Attendees (Second Shift)- We respectfully ask for Mercy Medical Center employees only to fill these positions. Duties include selling drink tickets to guests, handling cash, making change, etc. Volunteers will receive a complimentary tasting wristband to enjoy the event before their shift. Check in at registration, mention you are volunteering.

Food Servers/ Event Maintenance - some of our partnering restaurants may not be able to staff their booth but have still committed to providing food for the event. We will need a few volunteers who can serve these restaurants' food should they not be able to staff their booth. If you are not needed to serve, we will need help circulating the event space and collecting trash, making sure trash cans are emptied when full, cleaning up spills, etc. You will be provided with a complimentary tasting wristband to enjoy the event while performing your duties.
