The Second Annual - Danbury Audi Race4Scholars Criterium is just around the corner and we need your help to make this year another success! Come show your support by volunteering your valuable time on Sunday, August 16, 2015. Witness classic four-corner American-style Criterium racing on a .6 mile race course. The event is free to the public, features sales/sampling expo space, vendors, live music, family entertainment, raffles and more!

Last year’s event drew hundreds of spectators and over 315 professional and elite amateur racers from nine states and from eight countries. The Danbury Audi Race4Scholars Criterium is built upon the foundation of advocating parity in women’s racing by uniquely offering equal distance and prize money. This year, we plan to be better and a little bigger! So we need your help in the below volunteer positions. For more information visit http://wheelpassion.org/.

Course Setup Crew - Assist with setting up the race course (barricades, cones, signage, banners, pennant, and hay bales). Help the announcer get set-up and ready for the first race.

V.I.P. Hospitality Tent - Assist with the set up and breakdown of V.I.P. Hospitality Tent. Assist other support staff with sponsors and dignitaries.

Race4Scholars Registration Tent - Help riders get registered for their races, assign rider packet and other race and or venue related information.

Information Tent - Welcome and assist the public with parking, information, and hand out venue information.

Volunteer Tent - Set up Volunteer Tent and assist, direct and coordinate with Volunteer Check-in.

Merchandise/ Raffle Prize Tent - Set-up merchandise and raffles for display. manage, organize, and provide merchandising opportunities for raffles to public.

Course Marshal - Help keep the race course clear, insure the safety of participants, spectators and community members and to provide information. You will be assigned to a limited egress location on the course to monitor and control the flow of pedestrian traffic at all times during the event.

Course Breakdown Crew – Assist in breaking down and removing tents, barricades, tables, chairs, banners and all other supplies that were brought to the race.

NOTE: The event reserves the right to make changes in volunteer assignments based on needs during Race Day.
