Please contact the event coordinator for further details.

Please read all of the following information, especially if this will be your first time volunteering. Thank you in advance for your time and dedication to YG...You help make our school great, and we appreciate you!!!

Game Starts @12:30 Saturday, October 13, 2018
Arrive 2-3 hours before kick-off at Autzen Stadium. (Arrival time depends on volunteer position, with most arriving 2 hours before. Please see further info below.)

Oregon Ducks vs. Washington Huskies *******Kickoff for the game is 12:30*****
Double point game for 1st grade!
Class point competition 2018: Each volunteer always gets a point for their class(es) when they volunteer, and if they volunteer for their class game, they get double points. Oh and new this year - your class gets 5 points for every person who gets a server permit to be able to volunteer! The winning class will get $500 for the class to use, so be sure to get that permit! Permits are required to volunteer this year. Permits are good for FIVE years!

MANDATORY OLCC training prior to volunteering:
Here's a link to the OLCC website:
https://www.oregon.gov/olcc/pages/portalservicepermits.aspx

You will need to do an education class! Here's a link for one possibility: https://olccclass.com
There are other classes online, but this one is cheap and to the point. The estimated time is 2 1/2 hours but it took me CONSIDERABLY less than that to complete the whole process.

You will need to actually apply for the permit at the OLCC website. You need to upload a picture of your license and pay, and you'll get your temporary permit. You also have to take the server test.

There are costs for the test and the application - it's about $40 total ($14 for the class, $28 for the license and test). You can pay and be reimbursed by the PTO. You'll need your payment confirmations so we have them for the PTO records. WE DON'T WANT ANYONE TO BE PROHIBITED FROM VOLUNTEERING DUE TO MONEY. If you are unable to pay and be reimbursed, please contact PTO at ygschoolpto@gmail.com or contact Kathryn (PTO Board Vice President) personally at kmoakley@hotmail.com.

Location for volunteering at the game on October 13: southwest side of Autzen Stadium - Enter through the south gate.
There will be a gate keeper! Just let them know you are from Yujin Gakuen and your name.

Time commitment:
Money Manager and Back House Coordinator/Inventory Manager are required to be there 3 hours before the game (TBD for 10/13/18) to set things up.
All other volunteers are expected to arrive and be ready to serve 2 hours before the game (TBD for 10/13/18) and be at the booth until the end of 3rd quarter. If you have time after that, and are able to help us clean up the booth, that would be appreciated. (However, if you must leave at that time, we understand.)

A meal will be provided. U of O will provide each volunteer a voucher for a food item for their shift. Meal break happens at kick-off.

Transportation:
We will have FREE bus passes available for pick up during the week of the game. The passes will be on Amy's desk in the YG front office. (Amy is our new secretary this year!) On that Saturday game day, we will put any left over on the front door of the school for anyone who needs to grab them at the last minute. If you ride the bus without a free pass, the fee is $3.50 for adults (according to the LTD website).

This bus will drop you off near the south gate. You can park your car and take a bus at any of the park and ride stations listed in the link below.
https://www.ltd.org/system-map/route_990x-999x/

All buses start running 4 hours before the game. It comes every ten minutes or so. If you use VRC Park & Ride, it takes about 20 mins to get to the stadium with traffic, so please plan accordingly to be on time for your volunteer shift.

The stadium area will be very congested and hard to find a free parking space. Some people get a ride from family or friends, but you might want to arrange a meeting place and expect to walk.

Clothing and Shoes:
*Concession worker shirts will be provided. You can either wear on top of your shirt or change in the restroom.
*Dark colored pants or jeans preferred.
*Close-toed-shoes
