The KMC Cyclo-cross Festival (formally known as the Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival) is returning to Roger Williams Park on October 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and is looking for a few good women and men to help make the magic happen! We're overjoyed to welcome you to the family and would love for you to invite your family and friends to help as well.
Please pick your shift(s) below, paying attention to the dates, times and positions. In exchange for your sweat and hard work, you'll receive an event t-shirt to make you look all official and entry into our volunteer raffle!
Position descriptions:
Registration - help riders get signed in for their races, completing all necessary paperwork, and assign them their race number.
Parking - help direct riders and spectators to event parking and then point them in the right direction for registration and the event.
Expo area / signage - help get the expo area set up by directing vendors to their correct spots, making sure they have everything they need, making sure the expo area runs smoothly, and pointing spectators in the right direction.
Production team - help the announcer get riders correctly staged for the beginning of their race, find winners at the end of the races and get them to the podium, and carry info between the announcer, the officials, and registration.
Course Marshal - help insure that the event runs smoothly and safely for everyone. You'll be assigned to a spot on the course to monitor spectator traffic around the course and most importantly across the course during races to make sure that racers and spectators are safe. (It's a great way to see the racing!)
Also, PLEASE arrive onsite for your shift 10-15 minutes early to sign in and get the lay of the land.
Many, many thanks for your time!
