Help prevent usable items from entering the landfill at our annual collection event at the U of U residence halls from May 2-6. We are seeking volunteers to help collect clothing, blankets, kitchen items, and food from students moving out of the residence halls. Items are then donated to local charities. The event takes place in the University of Utah residence halls (151 Connor St., Salt Lake City, UT 84112).
Volunteers help: 1) Prevent students from throwing items in dumpsters; 2) Redirect students to donation bins; and 3) Bring reusable items to a central donation site at the Peterson Heritage Center.
