Please sign up below to help with the Giving Tree/Christmas Store! There are many different roles and ways to help, if you have any questions please let me know!

DESCRIPTION OF VOLUNTEER ROLES:

ORNAMENT ASSEMBLY: We need volunteers to assemble the ornaments that go on the Giving Tree, this task can be done at home, but we will also have a work day at WoodsEdge(TBD). You do not have to have a lot of creative skills, it’s mainly putting labels on cardstock, it’s an easy task, but time consuming.

GIVING TREE TABLE: This volunteer position requires the volunteer to stand at a table in the foyer before and after a church service to answer any questions about the ornaments. The volunteer will be expected to arrive in the foyer a few minutes before service starts and until all traffic has cleared. The dates volunteers are needed are November 5th, 12th, and 19th (Toy Collection drop off deadline) all services needed.

TOYS/GIFT SHOPPERS: If needed, a shopper volunteer will physically go shopping on Monday, December 4th for any additional toys/gifts that are needed to stock the store.

DECORATING TEAM: This position requires the volunteers to be present to decorate the store on December 6th.

SET-UP TEAM: This volunteer position requires volunteers to be present on Dec. 7th (a time will be set up closer to the date) to set up the store.

MAKING TREATS - COOKIES, HOT CHOCOLATE FOR STORE SHOPPING DAY: This position does not require day of attendance. Sweets/cookies may be dropped off prior to the event.

HOSTING TREAT TABLE: Volunteers will make sure there is plenty of treats, hot cocoa and cookies for our shoppers. We want our shoppers to feel welcomed and loved as they are there shopping for their family.

SHOPPING ASSISTANTS: This volunteer position will accompany the families at the Christmas Store. They will help explain the pricing system and make sure that all the kids in each family are shopped for and the correct numbers of toys are purchased. (English and Spanish speaking volunteers needed)

CHECK-IN: This position requires the volunteer to be present on December 7th, 8th and/or 9th. This volunteer will verify the shoppers as they enter the store and assign them a shopping assistant.

CASHIERS: This position requires the volunteers to be present on December 7th, 8th and/or 9th. • One volunteer will tally items/confirm correct purchase and verify correct children were shopped for. • One volunteer will ring up the purchases

GIFT WRAPPERS: This position requires the volunteers to be present on December 7th, 8th and/or 9th. Gift wrappers will wrap the gifts after the families have shopped for their children.

STORE RE-STOCKER: the position will restock toys during store hours to keep the store full.

FLOATER: Present on December 7th, 8th, and/or 9th at the store to fill in with any position that needs extra help.

TEAR-DOWN STORE: This volunteer position requires volunteers to be present December 12th at 12pm to tear down the store.
