Catholic Charities opens its doors to our Susan Zubik Welcome Center located on the ground floor of our building at 212 9th Street to allow our neighbors in need to come in out of the cold. We provide hot beverages and snacks. We are looking for volunteers to help make the Welcome Center a warm inviting space by keeping the hot beverages flowing, keeping the room clean and providing a warm greeting and fellowship to our guests. Here is what we are looking for in volunteers:
• volunteers over the age of 18
• prefer volunteers to commit to 2-3 hour shift
• volunteers that can work with a diverse population
• volunteers that can be ongoing
• background checks required and are free
• small groups of 5 are welcome
